Friday Morning

Good Morning Friends!

We had a GREAT day at the Argentine ranch. We will post pictures soon.

Our day began with a breakfast at the Westlind home (Thanks for hosting us Westlinds!) then we boarded the bus and cruised to the ranch. We swam in a pool, played ultimate frisbee, ate like royalty and got to ride horses through the ranch. We meandered through open fields, along wooded trails, and over tranquil streams. It was a truly fantastic day. One highlight was glimpsing some of the Argentine wildlife. There were many hawks, owls and other birds that we encountered, not to mention all of the small dogs that followed our group of "Gauchos". Don't worry--the dogs are domesticated and are very sedate unless they are herding horses.

We are now preparing to explore the San Ysidro neighborhood on the outskirts of Buenos Aires. We are looking forward to touring a local cathedral and visiting the artisan shops along the boulevards.

We continue to appreciate your prayers. Many blessings to all of you!

Godmother, here.

I see that my comment from yesterday didn't make the posting.

Many blessings on you for the work you are doing. I hope that those who were sick are better. The pictures and narration tell a wonderful story.

May God continue to be with you in this work.

The godmother again,

Wow! The chilaxin activities look like great fun, and a nice reward for your hard work.

Actually, we do have dogwalkers like the ones you saw, but they tend to be in large cities like NYC. Emily has me as a dogwalker and I think she enjoys being able to "read" the news about the county courthouse each day. Brandon and Austin were there when I was sworn in as a civil grand juror for the year. Emily often comes and gets a walk afterwards.

I hope all the ill have recovered. I have had them in my prayers as I know a great deal about getting ill when traveling.

Many blessings on you as your mission trip continues.
